Across The Street, Across The Country
“Season 3, Episode 17 – Lights. Camera. Restoration!”
DKI - Rocky Cross Construction owner, Jason Daniels, doesn’t have aspirations of hob-knobbing with Hollywood’s glitterati, but he was more than willing to lend his on-camera skills for a professional video that will do much to help homeowners mitigate the effects of the next major weather disaster. Jason tells us why he travelled to Toronto from his home base in Alberta for the project, and why the insurer that’s producing the video recruited him.
The Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction shares the insurance company's (and Jason’s) goal. The non-profit organization does this by dealing directly with home builders, introducing them to ways to lessen the impact of major winds, hail, floods and fires. The ICLR’s Glenn McGillivray tells us of his organization’s challenges – and successes.
And DKI Canada’s Director of Human Resources, Alex Defoa, shares what home means to her.
Music for this episode is "Long Way From Home" and "Running Wild" by Close Kicks.
